Eye St Peter and St Paul

Eye St Peter and St Paul

The stone and flint-panelled tower is said to be one of the country’s finest and dates back to 1470. In the south porch is a 16th century dole table where debts, tithes and church dues were traditionally paid and bread distributed to the poor. The church’s great masterpiece is the finely painted rood screen of kings, saints and bishops, dating from 1480. A Fairtrade shop opens most days in summer.
