Birthplace of Thomas Gainsborough RA (1727-88). Historic house dating back to the 16th century with attractive walled garden. The outstanding collection displays more of Gainsborough’s work than any other gallery. Varied programme of exhibitions of both historic British and contemporary art. Open all year Mon-Sat, 10-5. Closed Suns, Good Friday and 24th Dec- New Year inc.
