Go off the beaten track to see some of the stunning churches standing in our Suffolk parishes for an insight to the history and wool trade that once made these villages so prosperous.
For free attractions why not try Needham Lake, nature reserve for walks by the lake and the river as well as free parking and picnic areas, all situated close to Needham Market, a small, historic town boasting many interesting, independent shops. Nearby is Alder Carr Farm with its farm shop, craft centre and licensed cafe.
Visit historic Long Melford and National Trust's Melford Hall. You will find plenty to see and many places to enjoy a warming afternoon tea.
