What Shall We Do At The Weekend?

Visit one of our farmers' markets or food halls for inspiration and freshness and plenty of seasonal goodies.  For information on Christmas and New Year walks and cycle rides to enjoy in this area - visit one of our tourist information centres to pick up some ideas, or visit the Discover Suffolk website to download some cycle and walking trails free of charge. 

Go off the beaten track to see some of the stunning churches standing in our Suffolk parishes for an insight to the history and wool trade that once made these villages so prosperous.

For free attractions why not try Needham Lake, nature reserve for walks by the lake and the river as well as free parking and picnic areas, all situated close to Needham Market, a small, historic town boasting many interesting, independent shops. Nearby is Alder Carr Farm with its farm shop, craft centre and licensed cafe.

Visit historic Long Melford and National Trust's Melford Hall.  You will find plenty to see and many places to enjoy a warming afternoon tea.

Stay for a short break in a traditional Suffolk cottage or enjoy a roaring fire at one of our luxurious B and Bs or hotels. Whatever you choose to do when you visit Suffolk, don't forget to slow down, relax and enjoy........
